Helmet backstory:
“The Trandoshan was apparently waiting for me, concealed behind an outcropping of rocks near the cliff wall. The first shot slammed into my helmet and almost knocked me off my feet; the second and third went wide, thudding into the dirt somewhere behind and to my left. I quickly regained balance and activated my range finder. My helmet sensors found him right away and painted a red marker over his position in my HUD. A few seconds later the cliff wall behind him exploded, showering the area with molten rock, metal and whatever Trandoshans are made of. They always send such amateurs after me…”

This was the very first “GI” helmet cast I ever produced (2019). Initially I gave it a very simple white spray paint job (below)…
… but it was never truly “finished”, being used as a demo/test hemet for my MHAS accessories in the shop.
In November 2022, I decided to give this lid the love it always deserved. It took 3 months to rework it (not because it takes this long, but because I can be pretty indecisive when it comes to colours, painting and repairing and repainting some more🥴), but this is the final result.
